If Google makes it possible for advertisers to advertise directly to website owners, what could possibly go wrong.

We don’t know yet, but if we find out that Google has gone to the trouble of making it possible for website owners to pay for ad space on websites they own, we would expect Google to use this as a way to reduce their ad costs. That’s not the only reason why it would be beneficial, we also think it would be an easy way for advertisers to direct traffic towards their own websites.
